Day Seven - Stralsund calling

Today it was sunny, windy and full of surprise. It started in the morning when everyone woke up earlier to sing “happy birthday” for Martha, but some of the guys forgot and woke up after that singing. When she blew 18 candles, we began our breakfast.
After the meal we set off to Stralsund. Everyone felt sad because it was the last time when we were sailing on this camp. The waves were smaller in comparison to the waves we were facing yesterday but it did not stop water of filling all the deck. Although the laziness was in the air we had to work on our presentations. All the research groups gathered together and were investigating data for one of the last times and putting results on posters and preparing to present them as well.
Just after the lunch our new guest Marija presented her field of work, therefore we had an opportunity to get to know more about fungi. Moreover, Sven shortly introduced his PhD research.
We arrived at the port of Stralsund on the early evening. Right after that we packed our sails and part of students went to explore the city and others started preparing a dinner. The old town in Straslund was amazing according to those who were there. When everyone came back the dinner started. The food was very delicious as it was the day before (because we really enjoyed that curry!).
Now we are writing this blog and, as our birthday girl wanted, we are watching the movie. That was another great day on the ship Lovis! Unfortunately one of the last ones.
