Last but not least: Sampling the air
10.01.11, 10:00 (comments: 0)
It’s time to set up the air sampling device for collection of atmospheric iodine. The sampling device consists of a simple particle filter and some activated charcoal aimed to trap iodine gas. The charcoal will later be ashed and the gases emitted are trapped and analysed for iodine-127 (stable isotope) and Iodine-129 (radioactive isotope).
