The mysterious cigars
New positions and print outs arrived from the Swedish coast guard this morning. They had located eight unidentified cigar shaped “echoes” with their sonar.

Suggestions differed around the breakfast table, were it barrels of toxic waste, old mines, freight containers or could it be the broken up fuselage of an airplane …we just had to investigate! However, since the location was situated in the middle of the shipping lane passing Falsterbo, only A-certified divers (a kind of working certificate) would get the chance to inspect the objects. The first dive didn’t result in making us any wiser, but the second one solved the mystery – Iron pipes, eight meters long, two meters in diameter and covered in mussels. Disappointing, but swimming through them was an experience!
