New series of blogs: Sven
With heart and mind committed to the sea: Marine scientists report about their work on a new series of blogs.
The blogs offer a look behind the curtain of marine science, a firsthand account of the job. It is also an opportunity for young people to contact the scientists directly and ask questions. The first to write about her work is Natalie Loick-Wilde. She is a marine biologist, whose specialty is the marine nitrogen cycle. As one of the most important cycles, it is essential for life in the ocean.
New series of blogs: Lena
Dennis has started working with Contao
Still wondering where to find what, though.

Introduce yourself: Martina
My name is Martina. I am a computer scientist at Rostock University. My task in the project is to implement the modules. That's a fun task involving Flash and ActionScript programming. I am also working with a Learning Management System called Moodle, which we use to provide the eLearning modules to you, our users.

Hello, I am Lena, a biologist from the Leibnitz Institute of Baltic Sea Research in Warnemüende. (My full name is Barbara Lena Fassnacht). So far, my contribution to the WebLab project is to take care of parts of the project management like organizing the science camp 2010 and reporting every half year to monitor the project's progress. Then there are lots of tasks left and right like translating texts or designing the testing concept for the WebLab modules.
My scientific background involved university studies in Freiburg in Southern Germany and in Zurich at the EAWAG in Duebendorf, where I worked for the so-called Ökostrom project until I took my parential leave. I've been living in Rostock since 2001 and feel quite happy here. Next to my part-time work I am continuing university studies to become a teacher in biology and English.
