Work on balcony...

ome instruments are fixed and records are seen on so called measurement balcony located on one of the 'Oceania' mast. As you can guess it’s usually windy there so hard work for scientists. Picture shows some instruments like particular counter, anemometer.

AEROSOL as ocean spray. Air-sea interaction research

There are still situation when you can't keep directly the plan of the cruise. That happened today. We planned to go to the Hornsund Fjord in order to deploy our moorings but there were a lot of sea ice that we couldn't enter the Fjord. Our Chief Scientist decided to go to the next section.
