Who is involved in isotope research?

I have just returned from a PhD-course in Norway. The course was on a topic called Radioecology and which deals with the subject of radioisotopes, radiation and the environment. How much of various radioisotopes that are taken up by plants, mechanisms for uptake and removal. Special plants like fungi and lichens and their role in the food-web. Also aquatic radioecology was an important topic and this was valuable to me since this is ‘my’ field. At least I work on the methods to determine one of the interesting radioisotopes in the marine environment. The I-129 isotope has been used in many studies to determine water transport.
