Today is a special day, 12-12-2012. This morning our department will host visiting delegation from China. I will attend the meeting and be a translator, from English to Chinese and vice verse. It is a good chance to practice my English and especially strength my vocabularies in chemistry. I would feel my excitation when I leave from home and take the train to the welcome meeting.

Now the meeting starts, I am sitting in the front of the table and firstly translate the work presented by our group leader in English to Chinese. A little bit nervous, I could feel. In the presentation of our programme leader, he summarized the work we have been carrying out during the past few years. And in the end, he mentioned my work, the development of an automatic method for plutonium and neptunium analysis in the environment. The Chinese delegation seem very much interested in my work, and they have the interests to learn this technique and to so similar work in their lab. I am so happy to hear that and also feel encouraged very much. I once again confirm myself that it is worth to spend my last three years and complete my PhD study.
