Silence before the storm

Dzień dobry! Hello from the Polish team.
The fifth day of our camp started as usual. After delicious breakfast we set off for a boat cruise to the open Baltic Sea. There were three three-hour-cruises planned on the schedule and each of the teams was supposed to do the research, take samples and analyse the data they have been working on.

The weather was windy and nobody expected that the sea would be so rough. With every hour the waves were getting bigger and bigger and the participants felt worse and worse. All in all, everybody managed to keep their meals inside their stomachs.

After we came back we continued doing our research.

In the evening there was a test checking our hydrography and microalgae knowledge.

Even though the weather was not as we had wished it to be, we all had a really great time.

Looks like these kids have fun. Good idea to organize something like this. They learn about the water quality and environment protection.

These are nice pictures and an interesting read. I was sailing on Baltic Sea myself, although it was long time ago. Thanks for bringing up a good memories. Keep up good work!
