The day started with two lectures: Baltic sea hydrography (dr. Torsten Seifert) and microalgae (PhD Diana Vaičiūtė). After that the research group work started. Some groups went for sampling on the Curonian lagoon coast , some worked with microscopes counting microalgae. During the groups work we had a visit from national Lithuanian television LRT. Some of the studens gave interview about the science camp. After dinner the fun began – we took a ferry to the city of Klaipėda. Studens had an opportunity to get familiar with the city. We had a great time an old city of Klaipėda. In late evening we came back to the camp place – luckily, before the downpour started. It was such an educational and entertaining day.

It sounds very well what you're doing and learning there. I hope you enjoy this week! I'm sure everyone will come home with lots of experiences and new friends from all over the Baltic Sea :) Mirjam
P.S: Special Greetings to Anne ;)
